I can relate to a lot of this post. I too was (am) always surprised when a doctor's visit brings good news, and was all gangbusters about researching adoption when I went for my first RE appointment, before trying anything like IUI or IVF. Try to give the stims a chance to work and just see if they do. You'll know when it's time to move on to adoption, and if you feel strongly about wanting a child of your own, it sounds like it's too early to consider alternatives just yet.

Congrats on the cyst-free report and good luck with the stims!

No cyst is good. What stims are you starting?

Hope is good and neccesary. Let her dance in her prettiest gown. She might get a bit dingy sometimes, you might want to throttle her when things don't go as planned and you might have to put her in a corner when she is eratic but there are times when you should let her out to do her best jitterbug.

Good Luck.
